  1. Definitions

In these Terms and Conditions, “the Company” refers to Plugged In Solutions Ltd. “The Client” refers to any person, company, or organisation requesting the Company’s goods or services. “Works” refers to all labour, materials, equipment, and services provided by the Company.

  1. Scope of Work

The Company is to undertake Fire, Electrical, and Security installations, maintenance, and associated services as agreed in writing with the Client. Any additional work not specified in the original quotation will be subject to a separate quotation and written approval before commencement.

  1. Quotations and Acceptance

All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Acceptance must be provided in writing (including text, WhatsApp, or email). No work will commence until written acceptance and the required deposit have been received.

  1. Deposits and Payment Terms

A 50% deposit is required prior to commencement. 25% of the remaining balance is due After 1st fix completion and the rest of the balance is due after final 2nd fix completion, once the full balance is paid certification will be issued. Late payments will incur interest at 8.5% above the Bank of England base rate, calculated daily. The Company reserves the right to suspend works or withhold certification until payment is made in full.

4a. Payment Notwithstanding Project Delays

The Contractor shall be entitled to full payment for any portion of the Works completed in accordance with the agreed scope, regardless of any delays to the overall project caused by third parties, including but not limited to other contractors, subcontractors, or external factors beyond the Contractor’s control.

Completion of the Contractor’s agreed scope of work shall constitute a valid basis for invoicing, and payment shall not be withheld, delayed, or reduced due to delays or non-performance by others involved in the project.

  1. Cancellations

Cancellations within 48 hours of the agreed start date may result in reasonable material costs being non-refundable. All cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged by the Company.

  1. Subcontractors

The Company may engage subcontractors and retains full responsibility for their work under these Terms.

  1. Waste Removal

Unless stated otherwise, waste removal is the Client’s responsibility. This can be arranged by the Company at additional cost if requested.

  1. Health, Safety, and Compliance

All works comply with UK legislation and relevant standards including BS 7671 and BS 5839. The Client must provide safe access, clear working areas, and adequate facilities.

  1. Limitation of Liability

The Company’s liability is limited to the value covered by its insurance policy. The Company is not liable for consequential or indirect losses.

  1. Client Responsibilities

The Client must ensure access, safe working conditions, and provision of relevant information. Failure may result in delays or additional charges.

  1. Variations

All variations must be confirmed in writing and may affect cost or timescales.

  1. Ownership and Title

All materials remain the property of Plugged In Solutions Ltd until full payment is received.

  1. Termination

The Company may terminate the contract for non-payment, breach of terms, or unsafe conditions. The Client remains liable for work completed and materials purchased.

  1. Data Protection

Client data is handled in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.

  1. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

  1. Hazardous Materials

If hazardous materials (e.g. asbestos) are identified, work may stop immediately. It is the Client’s responsibility to confirm the area is safe before works resume.

  1. Force Majeure

The Company is not liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control and is entitled to a reasonable extension of time.

  1. Dispute Resolution

Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith discussion, then mediation if required, without limiting either party’s right to legal action.
